Fatal Balance 1-3

"AHHHHG!!" A shriek of pain wakes Emmu up, the car he was riding in was stopped at a red light and as his vision came back completely it was made apparent that his father was no longer in the vehicle. Cold air was blasting through the front door which hung ajar and slightly off the hinges. Emmu climbed into the front seat and out the front door because of the child safety locks in the rear. On the ground were massive disturbed tracks intersecting the tire track impressions in the snow there were also claw tracks amongst the drag impressions. The tracks all lead down to an alley off the side of the street, At the edge of the alley was his fathers gun, when Emmu picked it up it was cold to the touch. It was a m9 pistol, military issue. Though he was more of a scientist its understandable that he would have a gun seeing as he was very important.
Seconds after Emmu picked up the gun he followed the tracks into the alley. "Dad! Where are you?!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. Blood spatter started becoming more and more gratuitous as he neared his fathers location. Upon reaching his father there was a beast with dark purple fur and a blood orange mane. "E-emmu... R-r-run!..." his voice faded greatly until the beast snapped at his neck and wrestled the last ounce of life he had in him. Emmu looked at the beast and it stared at him hungrily. He pointed the gun and click, The safety was on. The beast took its chance and madly dashed for the boy its maw ready for sustenance.
